By accepting credit cards, we are not encouraging a lifestyle of debt. If possible, we would only accept electronic checks and debit cards. However, the major credit card companies prohibit organizations from only taking debit cards. As such, it is impossible for us to prohibit the use of credit cards, while allowing the convenience of debit cards. We encourage all of our contributors to have cash to back their transactions and not place anything on a credit card for which they do not have the intentions or funds to pay-in-full, when their monthly statement arrives.
